Test Freaks: Game Reviews, Compare Game Prices and More
The Internet is a great place to look for product reviews. It is so easy! You just google a particular product then you’ll make your way to a site that will tell you how good or bad a particular product is. The real question then is, can you trust their reviews of the products?
Test Freaks
There is at least one website I know and usually go to if I needed information on a certain product. The name of the site is, TestFreaks.com.
TestFreaks.com aggregates information about your favorite products. You can read reviews (both expert and amateur), prices from popular online stores, blog posts, forum discussions, etc etc etc. I know you get the idea so lets now just move on to the more important things like the review pages.
I did my own test run of the site. Since I know that most of the feed readers on romeuy.com are interested in Nintendo DS Games, I decided to find a review about a Nintendo DS Game.
I went to their Nintendo DS Games section and WOW! I was amazed at the number of games they had and how neat the whole page was because all the elements were very well arranged.
I had a hard time selecing a game for this demo (wanted to feature more than one game) but I just had to pick one. I just went with New Super Mario Bros Nintendo DS Game. I have a screenshot here to guide everyone.
Section 1 or Links to Product Reviews and more
- Contained the links to the Expert Reviews, User Reviews, Forum Threads and the Best or Cheapest Price of the product.
Section 2 or The Freak Score
- The Freak Score is Test Freak’s own scoring system for a product.
Q: What is â€FreakScoreâ€?
A: FreakScore is a weighted index of all aggregated professional and user reviews. Professional reviews are given more value than user reviews. Older products and reviews are given less importance, pending on the products life cycle. Authorative sources are more important towards the FreakScore. A FreakScore over 8 is great and only a few products get a FreakScore over 9.
Q: What is “Buzz Index�
A: Buzz index represents how much buzz there is in forums, blogs, reviews and searches about the product. It’s a scale from 1-5, 5 representing the most buzz a product can have at TestFreaks.
Q: What is “Activity�
A: Activity represents how popular the product is here at TestFreaks. It’s a scale from 1-5, 5 represents the highest activity level.
Q: What is “Freak Grades�
A: Freak Grades are the sub-grades from all reviews (user and professional), they are aggregated rewarded with a grade from 1-10 (10 being the best).
Q: What review sources are listed on TestFreaks?

nice site.. I liked it because it had all the information about somehing in one place but I was no able to find their own reviews of the products there
one advantage of using this review site is that its reviews are not biased because they are just aggregators. They get reviews from everywhere
